Spotted: Rolex Day-Date 18038 with Lapis dial, smooth bezel and glass without magnifier.. I am smitten by the clean and simpel look.. I love this piece.
The smooth bezel is interesting, as the 18028 – yellow gold, smooth bezel – is, in my humble opinion, very hard if not near impossible to find.

Not sure if Rolex would get away with something like this today – but it still is a killer look and I bet it would look smashing on the wrist.. The subtle difference in tone & color of the brown dial.. Like tropical, but meant to be..

Spotted: Rolex Day-Date 18038 with cream Roman dial and Dutch day-disc
Very warm combination – the yellow gold with the ivory dial. Once I had a similar dial in a 18039 in my personal collection – very cool. The Dutch day-disc is quite a rare sight and adds to the charm – at least, to those of us who are from The Netherlands like yours truly.

Spotted: Rolex Day-Date 18038 Tapestry Tiffany
I must admit, I am not a big fan of Tiffany-branded vintage sports models. It somehow diminishes the tool-watch status – please note, this is very, very personal. But on Day-Dates, Pateks and such it is a cool addition. This Day-Date has the great Tapestry dial with Tiffany-signature – a very cool look IMHO.

Spotted: Rolex Day-Date 18038 Wood. Strangely enough, in 130 posts this is actually the first Woody I’ve posted. It’s a distinct look. Not my personal style – I very much prefer the Stone dials-, but unique nonetheless.
